View of the Augustinian Abbey of Athassel, County Tipperary, Ireland, founded aroudn 1200. The drawing shows the full extent of the church, dominated by the central tower, and with the domestic buildings extending away in the distance on the right. A single figure sits on the mound of earth in the foreground, looking towards a bridled horse in front of him.

Drawn by Austin Cooper when he was touring the province of Munster in the summer of 1781 perhaps gathering money from area tax collectors, or working as a Paymaster to the Civil and Military Establishments. He may even have been showing himself from behind in the shape of the person sitting in the foreground with his back turned to the artist
